The last 2+ years have been challenging for most of us. May the year ahead bring each of you all that you hope for.

My family has changed in the past year. I had three children - Shayne, Kori, and Kegan - but only two remain on Earth with me. My beautiful daughter, Kori, died by suicide on November 9, 2021. As I and the family navigate our grief during this devastating loss, we hold precious memories of Kori in our hearts.

Exactly one month after Kori died we welcomed a beautiful addition to our family. Caiden Theodore Ventura was born on December 9, 2021 to Jaida & Carlos. He would have been Kori’s first grandchild - and he is my precious first great-grandson (see photo).

We continue to love and grow as a family and take one day at a time.

I’m looking forward to seeing you at our belated upcoming reunion. My warmest best to all.

I spend as much time as possible with my husband, Nelson, and our families. We are avid walkers and hikers and frequent many of the parks in Virginia.
I’m a former volunteer docent at the National Museum of the Marine Corps in Quantico, VA. We travel as much as possible; Guatemala, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, Ireland, and Scotland and have a trip to Switzerland planned. We are now living in Fredericksburg, VA but exploring another potential move.
In February we spent some delightful time with Sue & Harry Baumes at a pub in Fredericksburg called Harry’s Alehouse (see photo).

So many memories. The trip to Spain in 1969 was amazing. If any of you reading this were on that trip and have photos, I'd love to see them. I've long since lost mine.
